This is fantastic! The car of the future is finally here… and it’s a reality. The MIT crew has been working on this wonderful city car concept for more than a decade and it’s finally launching soon. In 2013, the first city to get its hands on the Hiriko will be Vitoria Gasteiz, just outside of Bilbao in Spain. Other cities, including Berlin, Boston, Hong Kong, Malmo, and San Francisco, are also in line for a trial run soonafter. The cost of the car is about $12,000 – not bad for a smarter Smart Car.
